Yummy Finds at The Venetian Market
Got invited to the opening of the Venetian Market at Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill last Friday and tried some awesome stuff!
Lettuce Chips of Gourmet Farm
Yes! Its lettuce chips and it actually tasted good! It’s lightly seasoned and you can pair it with different dips and sauces that they have. Enjoy organic, healthy products at Gourmet Farm.
Ampalaya and Salted Egg Pizza of Focaccia Restaurant
Though you may find the combination a bit weird, it actually tasted good, the taste of the ampalaya was subtle and the cheese and the bits of salted egg went well with it!
They also have some rolled up pizza stuffed with basil that you may want to try
Osso Buco and Saltimbocca of Cucina Rusticana
Tuscan style braise beef shanks slow cooked for 3 hours in roasted Italian tomato sauce.
Their Osso Buco was nice, that slow cooked goodness ensures infused flavors and really tender meat. And that parmesan mashed potato was good too!
Slow braised beef roulade in red wine rosemary and Italian bacon.
Oh I loved this one! You get this tinge of flavor from the wine that is really nice. The meat was tender and definitely flavorful, it’s truly a rave-worthy dish. Definitely a must-try!
CRUNCHY BELLY of Carlo’s Kitchen!
Since I tried their Crunchy Belly at Distrito (Makati) before, it’s been a personal favorite. This one’s sinfully good!
Liempo that is thinly sliced and fried to a golden brown!
It’s like a cross between liempo and bacon and it’s served with gravy and rice! This is one of the irresistible pampabata dish that you should try!
Pesto Lasagna of JD House of Lasagna
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to take a picture of the Pesto Lasagna that I tried, I got too excited and munched on it right away. But it’s good, rich and flavorful. The fact that I ate it without taking a picture means you should check this one out.
Kakuni and Ebi Buns of Ramen Bar
Melt on your mouth pork belly wrapped in a special white bun
Simple and yummy treats from Ramen Bar, I prefer the kakuni over the ebi variant tho, do try this out for some quick snacks
Roast Beef of Chef Resty’s Carving Station
Their roast beef was lightly seasoned and is paired with this really flavorful sauce. We tried this with pasta and potatoes (P195) and the serving was quite filling and can even be shared for two.
Chicken Satay and Beef with Phanaeng Curry of Thai at Silk
The chicken was simple and is paired with this thick honey-lemon like sauce.
This one’s really good too! It had the right amount of spiciness to it that left me wanting for more, and the beef was cooked just right.
Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich of Amoroso’s
Cheesy and meaty! This one is good for sharing. We also tried the chicken variant and they were all good!!
Crafted Liquor Concoctions of Botella
Tried their Mojito, Amaretto Sour, and Tiramisu, they were all nice. I prefer the amaretto sour tho.
There’s a lot of stuff that we haven’t tried but we were quite full so it’s time for desserts.
Dark Chocolate and Vanilla with Caramel of Sol Gelato
I’m a big fan of dark chocolate so I tried it first.
I loved it! It’s really creamy and flavorful and it’s not too sweet. It also had these bits of dark chocolate that I really like.
Pure vanilla goodness with a hint of caramel!
Mochi Ice Cream Balls of Belcap(Tea Farm)
We tried the Brazo de Mercedez and Salted Vanilla.
The Brazo de Mercedez mochi was good! Loved its sweet and chewy goodness!
Good contrast of sweet and saltiness, this mochi left me wanting for more.
We had a great time at the Venetian Market! Do check them out and try the yummy treats! Will definitely come back next week!
