Quick Breakfast at Apartment 1B
April 26, 2012 in Café, Deli, International
Went to Apartment 1B with Carlo, needed to discuss a couple of work related stuff.
This won’t be like my normal restaurant visit post, won’t rate the place like I usually do. (I think it would be unfair since we only had breakfast here and there’s a lot of choices on the menu) Will do a full review / write up of the place soon!

Sorry for the crappy wide shots, again I have a short telephoto lens that is fixed so I have to physically move around to zoom out, It’s quite hard to do at small spaces, will get a better one soon
The place was cozy, accentuated with a couple of art pieces that make for this tasteful ambiance that I love. And it was quite jam-packed even on breakfast hours, people around the area seem to love the place for it’s coziness and good gourmet food.
We tried their Eggs Benedict, and Apt. 1b Big Breakfast.
Two eggs cooked any style with smoked bacon, English bangers, Canadian ham, home fries, and toast.
The name of the dish suits it well, it’s definitely a packed meal to start your day. The smoked bacon was really crisp just the way I liked it, and oh did I mention that I’m a firm believer that everything is better with bacon. The English bangers had this tinge of apple flavor, it was really subtle though. And I love how they prepared the potatoes, well seasoned and great. To cut it short I loved everything on their big breakfast.
Wheat English muffins, lemon-caper hollandaise, home fries with Canadian ham and spinach.
They have two types of eggs benedict; one with Canadian ham and spinach, and the other one with smoked salmon and spinach. You also get to choose the serving size:
with Canadian ham and spinach ————————————————- P390 (1 pc) / P460 (2pcs)
with smoked salmon and spinach———————————————— P460 (1pc) / P790 (2pcs)
Their eggs benedict was scrumptious!! When you get a spoonful of the poached egg you’ll be greeted with it’s melt in your mouth awesomeness with the yolk and the hollandaise sauce, it’s just wonderful. It’s definitely a must try! Maybe I should try the salmon version next time!? What do you think?
Our quick breakfast at Apartment 1b turned out to be a pleasant one! Hopefully I can do a full review / write up of this place soon!

Wow! Truly mouthwatering. I saw the individual prices of what you ordered. But what’s the price range? =)
Hello Mai
Depends on the dish it may go up to 1000+
Oh, wow! That expensive huh?
Two of my friends just ate here, and they had good reviews of the food too.
drooling on the eggs benedict!!
I’ve always wanted to try Apartment 1B!
Your site is aptly name because you make people look hungry by just looking at the meals you shot with your camera. Do share some camera tricks etc. I am inspired to hopefully start on my own blog.
Hello Ms. Marra!
I can share more tips when we meet again(Eats a Date) I’m not sure if I can wrap up a decent trick lesson / tutorial for taking pictures of food since I’m not really a professional food photographer.
yummy! real mouth-watering : )
That is one grand breakfast. My favorite to is mash and bangers at an Irish pub about 30 minutes drive from us
a loaded bfast indeed..
Wow! This is my kind of breakfast! Pero ang layo naman from our place. Baka lunch na kapag nakarating kami diyan.
Your post made me so hungry I can hear my stomach growl! Lol!
A complete breakfast perfect before going to work. but I think that the breakfast is much better if you have jam on the side. the sweetnesss of jam or jelly adds appetite to the breakfast. just spread the butter and jam to the toast bread.
Hmmm… I like this apartment concept of a resto. It convinces me to push through with my future store business built from container van.
i read from another blog that this resto has the best eggs benedict. i think Jenni Epperson who said that. wanna eat here too. kaso it’s too far from where we live.
*was the one who said that
The food looks delicious I want to pull them from my monitor. I’d definitely try those eggs benedict come payday. ^_^
Finally I have seen a write up of this place.
I’ll definitely give this a shot.
The big breakfast looks bad ass!! Been dying to go here.. never had the chance yet tho
so yummy!
