Quick Breakfast at Apartment 1B

April 26, 2012 in Café, Deli, International

Went to Apartment 1B with Carlo, needed to discuss a couple of work related stuff.

This won’t be like my normal restaurant visit post, won’t rate the place like I usually do. (I think it would be unfair since we only had breakfast here and there’s a lot of choices on the menu) Will do a full review / write up of the place soon!

Sorry for the crappy wide shots, again I have a short telephoto lens that is fixed so I have to physically move around to zoom out, It’s quite hard to do at small spaces, will get a better one soon :(

The place was cozy, accentuated with a couple of art pieces that make for this tasteful ambiance that I love. And it was quite jam-packed even on breakfast hours, people around the area seem to love the place for it’s coziness and good gourmet food.

We tried their Eggs Benedict, and Apt. 1b Big Breakfast.

Apt. 1b Big Breakfast (P580)

Apt. 1b Big Breakfast (P580)

Two eggs cooked any style with smoked bacon, English bangers, Canadian ham, home fries, and toast.

The name of the dish suits it well, it’s definitely a packed meal to start your day. The smoked bacon was really crisp just the way I liked it, and oh did I mention that I’m a firm believer that everything is better with bacon. The English bangers had this tinge of apple flavor, it was really subtle though. And I love how they prepared the potatoes, well seasoned and great. To cut it short I loved everything on their big breakfast.

Eggs Benedict (P460)

Eggs Benedict (P460)

Wheat English muffins, lemon-caper hollandaise, home fries with Canadian ham and spinach.

They have two types of eggs benedict; one with Canadian ham and spinach, and the other one with smoked salmon and spinach. You also get to choose the serving size:

with Canadian ham and spinach ————————————————- P390 (1 pc) / P460 (2pcs)
with smoked salmon and spinach———————————————— P460 (1pc) / P790 (2pcs)

That poached egg! *Drools*

Their eggs benedict was scrumptious!! When you get a spoonful of the poached egg you’ll be greeted with it’s melt in your mouth awesomeness with the yolk and the hollandaise sauce, it’s just wonderful. It’s definitely a must try! Maybe I should try the salmon version next time!? What do you think?

Our quick breakfast at Apartment 1b turned out to be a pleasant one! Hopefully I can do a full review / write up of this place soon!
